Molly was born August 4, 1987 in Worthington, Ohio. She attended Indiana University on a soccer scholarship. She played one season before deciding to walk-on to the track team. During her time at Indiana, she set two indoor school records and became one of the top middle distance runners in the Big Ten conference.
Her personal records include a 1:27.22 in the 600 meters at State College, PA, and a 1:59.12 in the 800 meters at Lignano Sabbiadoro. She’s received numerous awards and recognition for her accomplishments in track, including: 2-time Big Ten Champion, 2-time All-American 800 meters, and 2012 Crystal Palace Diamond League Champion.
2012 proved to be one of Beckwith’s best seasons, despite falling just short of making the 2012 Olympic Team after finishing 4th at the trials. Beckwith posted four sub 2 minute times and finished the season ranked 4th in the USA. Beckwith has been ranked in the top 5 in the USA for three consecutive years.
She currently competes for Team Saucony as an elite 800-meter runner.
